Civil Service Tests — separate apps powered by a shared codebase
In 2026, we rebuilt a suite of separately published learning apps: instead of maintaining several copies of the code, we created one shared foundation while preserving each product’s own design, settings, and test database. Content for every exam track is managed through an admin panel.
From separate code copies to one shared foundation
The first apps in the series appeared around 2020. They supported preparation for different exams through a shared learning approach, but technically each product was a separate copy of the code. As a result, even the same change had to be implemented and tested in every app individually.
During the 2026 update, SoftWars brought the shared functionality into one codebase. The apps are still published separately and retain their own design, settings, and test databases, while the core learning and testing journeys are now developed centrally. The suite includes ten apps: five already have populated test databases, while the databases for the remaining five are still being prepared.
How we rebuilt the app suite

We brought the shared learning, testing, progress, and error-review logic into one codebase. Common changes are now implemented once and used across the entire suite.

Each exam track remains a standalone app with its own name, visual identity, settings, and test database.
